A handmade rounded porcelain tea cup painted with scrolling cobalt-blue lotus vines and bold red blossoms, in the classic Ming style of underglaze blue and red. A band of stylized petals circles the foot, and the interior medallion repeats the red flowers within a double blue ring. The base carries a four-character seal mark in blue.
Rich, lively and deeply traditional, a cup that brings the imperial palette to the tea table.
